Local Food Champions Network

Local Food Champions began in 2019 with a simple idea: local food systems deserve structure. What followed was not linear. It was immersive.

Before agriculture, I was a chef. Food was never a trend to me  it was responsibility. Feeding people is not marketing. It is operational accountability.

When I entered controlled environment agriculture, I did not stay in one lane. Since 2019, I have worked across the system:

  • Manufacturer
  • Farmer
  • Industry contributor
  • Laboratory analytics
  • Board participation with CPMA and CAPI

I have seen production floors. I have seen compliance frameworks. I have seen what happens when systems align ... and more importantly, when they don’t.

And here is the truth:

The mission of CEA and local food is noble. The execution is fragmented. Too many good operators working in isolation. Too many standards discussed but not enforced. Too much replication. Too little verification.

That is why Local Food Champions has evolved into the Local Food Champions Network. We are not a marketing platform. We are not a hype engine.

We are a verification-first network connecting producers, processors, logistics operators, buyers, and retailers through a traceable path from root to retail.

Our focus is disciplined alignment. Measured sustainability. Reliable, shelf-ready supply. No chaos. No silos. No guesswork.

The CEA industry has been
Germinating long enough
Now it's time to
